In this post we shall be writing about the camera options that are available in market for taking decent photographs while you are travelling.

SONY HX 60V

It has a market-leading 30x optical zoom, packed into a small body. It also boasts full manual control, although you can’t shoot in raw format. It’s matched in zoom ratio by the Panasonic TZ60, which is probably this camera’s biggest competitor. Along with manual modes, there are also semi-automatic and, of course, fully automatic modes.
Alongside that optical zoom lens, there’s a 20.4 million-pixel 1/2.3 inch Exmor R CMOS sensor. Sony’s Exmor sensors are backlit for best performance in low light shooting scenarios.
PANASONIC LUMIX TZ 60
($320)
The Panasonic Lumix TZ60 was announced alongside the Lumix-TZ55 at January’s CES expo in Las Vegas, and is the successor to the very popular Panasonic Lumix TZ40. This new ‘travel compact camera’retains the Wi-Fi connectivity and Near Field Communication (NFC) of its predecessor, but it also has a number of improvements over it.

The Olympus TG-3 is a very solid and capable rugged camera that offers a fast lens (at wide-angle), an excellent LCD, fast performance, and top notch battery life. Image quality isn’t great when viewed at 100% –and exposure needs to be watched underwater –but most people will be happy with the results.
CANON POWERSHOT G1X

The G1 X is an excellent camera for some but not for everyone. The camera gives you great image quality and a versatile zoom range in a small package without the need to carry a stack of lenses. However, the sluggish AF, limited close-focusing capability, and lack of manual control in video mode will make some users look elsewhere.
